🍃 California pulled off a climate win

This is proof that sustainability can boost business

It’s not often you come across climate news that actually feels hopeful, but this one did.

California’s dairy farms have just achieved one of the largest agricultural emission cuts anywhere in the world, reducing methane by the equivalent of 5 million tons of CO₂ every year.

And they didn’t do it by scaling back production.

They did it by thinking differently.

By turning cow manure into renewable energy, redesigning how waste is managed, and improving herd efficiency, they’ve shown what happens when innovation meets intention.

Here’s what stood out to me:

These farmers didn’t wait for perfect technology or global agreements.

They just got on with it, investing their own money, experimenting, and collaborating to make real change happen.

Cleaner air, stronger local economies, and renewable power all from one of the most unlikely sources.

It’s proof that sustainability isn’t about slowing growth.

It’s about finding smarter ways to create it.
