šŸƒ Stop ignoring your environmental impact.

Start rethinking your approach.

Did you know?

By 2050, studies predict there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish.

Emissions from burning fossil fuels have increased from 11 billion tons of carbon dioxide per year in the 1960s to around 36.6 billion tons in 2023.

These stats aren’t just shocking.

They’re a wake-up call to more and more people.

Businesses can no longer afford to ignore their environmental impact.

But here’s the truth: real change starts with leadership and that’s where you come in.

Becoming a Business with Impact (BWI) leader isn’t just about ticking a few sustainability boxes.

It’s about utilising sustainability to create a new and better version of your company by rethinking your entire approach, knowing that every decision you make can create a ripple effect that extends far beyond your business.

The big idea:

The idea behind being a BWI leader is simple.

We are not separate from the planet; we’re deeply interconnected with it.

So, what if your business decisions could leave the world a little better each day?

Being a leader isn’t about perfection, it’s about progress and about making conscious choices that align with the future we want to see.

When you lead with purpose, you innovate and create new and better products and solutions that attract like-minded people, customers, partners, and employees, who all share the same values.

Tip of the week:

1. Start by analysing your resource flow and supply chain.

2. Establish where your materials are coming from and where they are going.

3. Make a note of the environmental and financial costs.

4. Circle in on the hotspots where significant amounts of raw materials are lost and do NOT end in a final product that gets sold (apply the 80/20 rule)

5. What would it do to your business and impact on the world if you could cut those wasteful processes in half? Avoiding it all together or making sure it got used somewhere.

The more transparent you are about your operations, the easier it becomes to pinpoint areas where you can reduce waste, lower emissions, or switch to renewable resources.

You might not be able to overhaul everything overnight, but every small step counts.

Sustainability is a responsibility we all share, and it starts with leaders like you. Done right, it is also a massive driver of business.
