🍃 The clock is ticking, but here’s how to turn it back

Lessons from our live Q&A session

If you joined the live Impact Tomorrow Q&A, you’ll remember one question that sparked an especially powerful discussion:

“The doomsday clock is at 90 seconds to midnight. What do we have to do to move it backwards?”

It’s a heavy question, but one that cuts right to the heart of what sustainability really means in business today.

Here’s what I shared:

We’re seeing three major shifts happening across industries right now:

- From stand alone initiatives → to full integration.
- From branding and buzzwords → to genuine innovation.
- From endless reporting → to visible action.

That’s the evolution we need, vertical, not lateral.

Think of it like upgrading your phone’s operating system, each update makes the next one faster, smarter, and more connected.

And here’s the interesting part:

We need to bring resource mastery back as a strategic discipline.

When companies start treating sustainability as part of operations, not an afterthought, they sneak it in like a Trojan horse. It becomes the new normal.

And that’s when the needle truly moves.

We don’t need bigger promises.

We need better systems.

And those systems start with the choices you make inside your business every day.

Ps. I’ll be sharing another great question from that Q&A, and my take on it, in an upcoming newsletter this month.

Best,
Jasper
