šŸƒ Waste is not just an environmental issue

It’s one of your BIGGEST hidden costs

Most manufacturing companies underestimate what waste actually costs them.

They see the invoice from the waste collector and assume that’s the number.

It isn’t.

First, you pay for the raw materials.

Then you pay people, machines, and energy to process them.

Then part of it is lost.

And finally, you pay again to have it taken away.

Waste is a cost at every stage of the system.

That’s why it’s one of the most expensive things a business can create.

It’s rarely questioned, largely because it sits across different functions.

Procurement buys it, production uses it, finance tracks parts of it, but no one owns the full picture.

So it becomes normal.

Factored in. Accepted.

Hidden in blind sight because everyone is used to it being this way.

Until someone steps back and changes the perspective.

This is a core part of what I do with clients. A different perspective and coming from the outside. It changes the game.

Materials that are treated as waste are often resources that have not yet been put to better use.

That is where the opportunity starts.

šŸ‘‰ If you want to identify where waste is draining profit in your business, reply with the word ā€œIMPACTā€ and I’ll help you spot it.

Best,
