Let's kick things off with some positivity and inspiration.

Did you know?

Did you know that Denmark generates almost HALF of its electricity from wind power?

It's an amazing example of what renewable energy can do!

The big idea:

On the small island of Samsø, Denmark, the community has achieved energy self-sufficiency using only renewable energy sources.

By investing in wind turbines and solar panels, they've not only reduced their carbon footprint but they made a solid income stream for many families as some of the mills are owned by regular people in the form of co-op.

This modal has also inspired other communities around the world to pursue similar goals.

The effort was led by a great man I'm happy to know called Søren Hermansen. With this team at the Samsø Energy Academy, the municipality and volunteers all held countless coffee table meetings.

These gatherings were designed to discuss the significant windmill project and, importantly, to encourage local residents to become investors in the project.

This approach has managed to turn the traditional resistance into advocacy.

This story shows that even small actions, when embraced collectively, can lead to massive positive changes.
